Sleeve Anchor Bolts (often referred to as rawl bolts or expansion sleeve bolts) are versatile mechanical fasteners used to secure heavy objects into concrete, brick, block, and stone. Unlike wedge anchors (which require solid concrete), sleeve anchors feature a full-length expanding metal sheath. As the nut or screw is tightened, a tapered cone is pulled into the sleeve, forcing it to expand outward and grip the entire length of the drilled hole. This evenly distributes the load, making them ideal for softer or older masonry where too much localized pressure might cause cracking.
